Welcome to my site

I have been working on a novel, titled The Phoenix Child, for years, and I finally have the nerve to put it out for the general public to read.  This website is for that purpose.  I will also have personal information about me, weblinks to sites of things I like, and all that other crap that people like to put on their personal web pages.

I'll be updating this regularly (as in whenever I feel like putting up some new text or as I finish another chapter) so check back.  No promises on how regular it will be, though.  I do have a life away from the computer.

Lastly, you must forgive me for the mediocrity of this web site.  Unfortunately, with all that I have done (and are doing) in my life, learning how to make good, or even decent, web sites has not been one of those things.  I shall hopefully amend this one day, but for now, you're stuck with this.

This is entirely off subject, but there is something that perplexes me.  Why is it that some people (and I have been guilty of this in the past, but what I was thinking at the time, I couldn't tell you.) feel that if they are having some problems, that they must distance themselves from loved ones and people that can support them.  I do not understand the reasoning behind it, and in my case, I firmly believe that there was none.
